Hi, my name’s Oli, and I was born in Oxford, a beautiful city near London that is very famous for its university. I became an English teacher in 2006, and fell in love with the job immediately—it’s a great feeling to help other people learn and it’s always interesting because there’s always something new to learn. I started teaching in Moscow, which is a great city: life is never boring there and I made a lot of good friends. I then moved to Shanghai, where I worked for about three years. That was another fantastic experience, especially because Russia and China have such different cultures.
During those seven years, I have taught English to all kinds of people. I’ve taught young professionals, top managers, schoolchildren, university students, housewives and elderly retirees. I’ve taught actors, accountants, bankers, lawyers, schoolteachers (including other English teachers), architects, doctors, nurses, drivers, writers, musicians, receptionists and many others! So, whatever you need, I’m sure I can find a way to help you reach your study goals.
When I’m not teaching, I might be spending time with my very large family, or perhaps studying a language. At the moment I speak French, Russian and Chinese, and I’m also trying to learn Greek. I also love climbing, mountain biking, and hiking—if it involves mountains, I’ll be there.
