I am from Wales in the UK, where I graduated in Management Science and Spanish. After graduating I taught English as a foreign language in Spain and Poland for 13 years. I obtained CELTA certification at International House Krakow in 2004 and recently returned to Britain to study for a post graduate certificate in education (PGCE) in modern foreign languages. I completed it in 2018. I love learning and am currently studying for my DELTA Module 1.
I have taught most types of English as a foreign language, including conversational English, business English and specialised classes. I have taught children as young as six and adults aged up to eighty. I prefer teaching in small groups or one-to-one because I like to get to know my students well, so I can help them achieve their goals. However, my job in a comprehensive school means I often have classes of up to 30 pupils.
I love learning languages myself. I speak both Polish and Spanish, and my French is slowly improving, so I understand the challenges involved in learning a foreign language. Luckily, it is something I am passionate about.
I currently live in London where I work part-time as a Spanish teacher at a comprehensive school. When not at work, I enjoy hiking in the British countryside or drinking coffee with my friends.
