My name is Olivier Guiberteau and I was born in London but grew up in rural Northamptonshire.
I have a degree in film studies but have been teaching English for over five years in a wide range of different places, such as the Czech Republic, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Spain. These places have not only given me rich cultural experiences but have taught me a great deal about different students around the world and how to adapt to their styles.
I have a relaxed teaching style where the emphasis is placed on tailoring a lesson to your exact needs. Do you need English for a job, or an exam, or just for fun? Do want to focus only on speaking, or perhaps reading and writing, or are you a grammar lover and want as much as possible?
My lessons are constructed around what you require and want, while moving at whatever speed you feel comfortable with. But above all, I provide a fun class, because there’s nothing worse than trying to learn a difficult language in a boring class!
When I’m not teaching I’m usually out exploring my local area (Vigo in Spain, at the moment) with my camera. I also write travel stories (when I have the time) and love adventure sports of any kind, especially surfing, snowboarding and hiking.
I’m looking forward to seeing you in a class sometime soon!
