I’m Daniel and I’m from Bath in south-west England, one of the UK’s most popular cities for tourists to visit. I now live a bit further south-west in a county called Devon. I have taught all levels of student from beginner to proficiency, and all ages from pre-teens to adults nearing retirement, so I hope I can draw on this experience to help you.
I began my career as an English teacher in Barcelona, where I taught in schools and gave one-to-one classes before taking my work online here at Oxford Online English in 2017. I chose to go to Spain to get my TESOL qualification because I studied Spanish (along with French) at university. While I lived there, I also learned Catalan, mostly using online resources. I love teaching English because I love languages. Yes, you have to practise, but the rewards are really satisfying.
I have travelled all over the world, including every European country and all the continents that aren’t covered in ice! In fact, my first teaching experience was at a Buddhist monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal.
