Hi, my name is Chris and I’m based in London. My first experience of teaching was to help a Hungarian friend to pass his IELTS exam. I enjoyed helping him and he thought my teaching method was easy to understand, so I decided to look into a career in teaching English.
That was 10 years ago. Since then I have become a qualified CELTA teacher and worked in Rep. Korea, Thailand, Spain, Italy, Saudi Arabia and England. I have taught children, teens and adults of all ability levels in 1-1 classes and groups. Recently, I have been mainly teaching adult professionals and university students general English and exam preparation classes.
I want my students to enjoy the experience of learning English so that they look forward to classes. I focus on building a relationship with my students, understanding their needs and getting them to produce English in realistic settings to bring the language to life. I am very positive about what I do and love seeing my students make progress. If my students succeed in improving their English, then I have succeeded and I love success!
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy cooking, reading, playing music and hiking. I am currently studying for another English teaching qualification – the Trinity Diploma in TESOL.
I hope to teach you soon!
